I just watched Dana Torres win her semifinal heat in the 50 meter freestyle. What is remarkable is that she is 41 years old!! So, I have been thinking… What are the chances that I could make it to London in 2012. I’m 32 years old and in terrible physical shape but I have four years to work out my old man hangups. Right? I was a collegiate athlete a long time ago, that must count for something!? Anyways, I have been infused with such a compelling vision of Olympic possibilities that I have decided to ask for some advise: Should I or should I not make an attempt at gold in 2012? Any thoughts? Please be kind!!!
Oh baby, you could DEFINITELY be an Olympian!
What will you go for though? Basketball, handball? Wait, I got it- synchronized diving!! Baby, you would be so good! We just need to find you a partner… Shane?? Whatever you decide, I know you will do well… you always do… love u!!!
I think you should train to be a greeter… In Beijing they all wear yellow t-shirts and fill up the stadiums at events like badminton, race walking, etc…
You could train at Wal-Mart!
I’d like to see you take on the rings. Iron Cross.
i totally thought of you after watching dara torres last night…she encouraged EVERYONE to got for their dreams, not matter the AGE. YOU CAN DO IT! Men’s Gymnastics US Team/London 2012 games here we come!
Old ladies that are good at things really do make us all feel like we all can accomplish our dreams. That said, I do see a pommel horse or perhaps badminton in the near future for you.
Please! Isn’t the answer obvious? Yes you have the goods to compete at the Olympic level. However, if you don’t start training now then it will never happen. Run towards your dreams. Spread your wings and soar. The time is now! Bow to your Sensei!
My advice is Karate, Fencing, 1500m Swim & Weightlifting. Imagine how proud we would all be if you brought home the gold in all four events.
Just do it Krist. Just do it.
You would never make it to the Olympics… To Old, Out of Shape, too weak, ya that would never happen.
Male modeling on the other hand… You never know, the purple hair may be a hit
Good news Krist…….
You CAN…….and I can train you.
Go for it Krist! You take the pommel horse and rings, and I’ll be on the mountain bike!
